INSIDE UTRECHT WITH QUINTEN (1972)
I have been living in Utrecht for well over 15 years and know the city quite well. I love how Utrecht is as much a town as it is a city, and both at the same time. Utrecht is a lively place, with a lot of young people - mainly students - giving it its vibrancy. There is always something going on. We are well-known for our many festivals and museums, so look for an ‘Uitloper’, telling you where to go. I like Utrecht’s old city heart very much and find Utrecht especially pretty in October, with the orange and yellow leaves hanging over the ‘grachten’ (canals).

MY CULTURAL PASSION
Music – from classical to jazz and from pop to world music. We have some wonderful music festivals in Utrecht and quite a number of good venues for live music, from singer songwriters to the best ensembles of the world. Talent – Utrecht is a city that is full of talent and creativity: talent we discover and talent we nourish and help to develop.

WORK THEMES
I am director of the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition, a major music competition taking place every three years in the Music Centre Vredenburg in Utrecht. We also organize masterclasses, international selection rounds (in Utrecht but also New York, Shanghai and Moscow), festivals and concerts for our prizewinners (in 25 countries worldwide!). I am also involved with our city’s bid to become European Capital of Culture in 2018, a very exciting and promising process. Utrecht is a real European city where we will make you feel welcome and at home!

LODGING etc.
Happy to assist in finding a place to stay, but also to show you around, introduce you to other people, have coffee with an ‘appelbol’ at Graaf Floris, etc. etc.

INSIDE UTRECHT WITH BREGJE (1974)
Utrecht is a city of great historical beauty with lots of young creative, innovative and colorful minds. Because of the high percentage of students in the city it is also 'a city that never sleeps'. It's never boring over here. I would like to show you some special historical places in Utrecht, which are connected to contemporary art or theater. You will see that Utrecht is an old city but with a very young and innovative appearance without losing it's historical beauty.

MY CULTURAL PASSION
My best time of the year is the summer...not only because of the weather but because of the variety of art festivals that you can visit all over the country. I have a great passion for Land Art and (historical) site specific theatre. I believe that by means of contemporary art you can make people aware of the true beauty and meaning of their own cultural heritage.

WORK THEMES
I have my own company called "Tussen Kop & Munt" (Between Head & Coin). I am a project manager for cultural projects.

LODGING
I live with my husband and our dog 10 minutes walk from the city centre. We can can offert you a bed for a max of two nights. No smoking in the house.

INSIDE UTRECHT WITH ANDREAS (33)
For me Utrecht is the best alternative in the Netherlands to live and to work. It is small, has a fantastic old centre, many festivals, great bars and small clubs with an adventurous program. One of the nicest cities in Europe, beside Berlin, Antwerp and Budapest.

MY CULTURAL PASSION
To work with other people from other countries without any commercial and high cultural purposes.

WORK THEMES
I’m working in an old cellar at the wharf of the Oudegracht in Utrecht. We have a small community with some independent creative people. We hang out there, make music, but also invite other foreign artists (especially electronic music artists) to corporate with. But we work with other music minded Utrecht artists as well.
Inside the cellar I work with 3 colleges in the company called Wharf Records. We have our own studio, release records and we manage several Utrecht artists.
We are always interested to corporate with other (electronic) artists from other countries and we are well connected to the Utrecht music scene and the european electro movement!

LODGING
We have always place for the people we work with on our 5 meters couch in our studio!
